Advance directives are crucial because they allow individuals to state their preferences for medical treatment, especially in situations where they can no longer communicate their wishes, ensuring their values and desires are respected. They also alleviate the burden on loved ones who might otherwise have to make difficult decisions without knowing the individual's wishes, reducing potential conflict and emotional stress.

Each meeting typically features guest speakers presenting on relevant topics and open discussions aimed at fostering partnerships and improving access to services for seniors.
