About Us

K-12 BASIS offers something no other U.S. public school does -- an education that prepares students according to the highest, most rigorous standards. Our schools are ranked among the world's best.

BASIS Oro Valley is in its 10th year and serves nearly 600 students in grades 6–12. It is a tuition-free public charter school. The high school is consistently ranked as one of the top high school programs in the country. In 2022, U.S. News & World Report ranked BASIS Oro Valley the #4 charter high school, the #12 STEM high school and #27 overall nationally.

Impressively, BASIS Oro Valley continues a 100 percent acceptance rate to four-year institutions. Students have earned more than $3 million in renewable merit aid from Arizona schools alone. Additionally, three students were named National Merit Finalists, with two chosen as National Hispanic Scholars, and one Presidential Scholar Candidate.
