About Us

The Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, founded in 1946, puts on the major annual show that anchors Tucson's premier Tucson Gem Show each February.

The 2023 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show®, planned for Feb.9-12, 2023, is titled “Silica – Agates and Opals and Quartz, Oh My!” at the Tucson Convention Center.

Show hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9-11, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12. Children 14 and under are free with a paying adult.

The acclaimed Tucson Gem and Mineral Show ® has set the standard for gem and mineral shows around the world, and is now the largest gem and mineral show in the United States. The show is open to the public. Proceeds from the show are used for educational purposes in the Tucson community through scholarships, grants and awards.

The Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, Inc., supports the promotion of mineral knowledge in our local Tucson community through scholarships, grants, and awards. Our purpose is to encourage interest and study in geology, mineralogy, lapidary and allied earth sciences.
